Opportunity description

This role will help deliver the celebration of CICRA’s 40th anniversary, with a mixture of national events and campaigns as part of a year of UK-wide activity to reach more young people affected by crohns and coltiis, and their families.

The role

  • Help us define and develop a bold marketing strategy that breaks through
  • Supporting our marketing activity across a range of channels
  • Analyse other organisations for good ideas and make recommendations
  • Support the roll-out and embedding of a new brand, website and literature focussed on supporting children and young adults affected by inflammatory bowel disease, and their families

Person description

  • Marketing, media and PR management experience
  • Good team working skills or mindset

What impact the opportunity will have

We want to make the most of next year, when we celebrate 40 years of providing research and support. You will be supporting our small staff team in developing, organising and delivering different activities to help the charity achieve the following objectives:

  • Reach more children and young adults with help and information
  • Provide support to more parents and families
  • Raise awareness of how IBD can impact children and young adults
  • Raise funds to research better treatments and a cure

Time commitment

Either in or out of office hours

We’d ideally like you to be able to volunteer with us for 4 months for 1-2 days per week or more, depending on your other commitments.

Other details

  • You can either be home-based or at our office in Sutton and prepared to possibly meet the team in person when appropriate
  • You will work alongside our small staff team who will support you and ensure you have all the training and resources you need to carry out your role
  • You will receive a full induction into our team, and team members will be able to offer guidance and support
  • You will be given training on our administrative systems and processes
