The International Federation for Intellectual Impairment Sport (INAS) is the world’s leading organisation for developing and delivering high performance sport in this area and we want you to join our exciting movement.
Following a review of board skills and needs, our Governing Board are interested to hear from you if you can make a substantial impact on our sponsorship and fundraising activities.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with a growing international charity.
Working closely with the Executive Director and Fundraising and Marketing Committee (a small group of volunteers who support our efforts), you will have the experience, networks and influence to lever significant new investment for our projects and activities.
The Board position initially runs until April 2019 but could be extended by agreement. Within the role, you will be invited to attend Board meetings and will advise and assist on growing income for events, projects and our core activities.
- Fundraising events
- Fundraising strategy
- Researching funders / writing proposals
The post holder will have the networks and ideas to lever new investment, sponsorship and donations to support our growing charity. You need not be experienced in fundraising, but have the energy, passion and drive to influence major donors and sponsors.
What impact the opportunity will have
This is an opportunity to change lives across the World, giving people with an intellectual disability, autism and Down's syndrome - more than 2% of the World’s population - the chance to be successful in sport. This kind of role doesn't come along very often and you will have a unique opportunity to be part of a global movement.
What’s in it for the volunteer?
Applicants have the opportunity to join a passionate group of volunteers working globally to promote sport to some of the most isolated people in society - to change lives and create champions.
Either in or out of office hours
There are two Board meetings per year, in between which you will work with INAS' small dedicated staff team.
