Objectives

Communic8te Bury is a charity which helps local people who are deaf or have a hearing loss to improve the quality of their lives and to overcome loneliness and isolation by reaching out to them in their own homes and the wider community.

Activities

Communic8te Bury provides: Education e.g. BSL (British Sign Language) classes, Deaf Awareness Training, Lip Reading classes, Maths and English classes and Hobbies and Craft sessions. Assistance: e.g. Advocacy, Signposting, Speakers, Tinnitus Support Group, Battery Exchange Scheme. Recreation: e.g. Social Afternoons, Social Evenings, Celebrations, parties and annual events.

    Time commitment: A minimum of once a month for 2 hours We are looking for someone preferably on a Wednesday either day or evening
