Resolve International helps some of the poorest children in Nepal. They are the kind of children who live in families which miss out on main stream aid. Most of the families are subsistence farmers wh live in the rural hills. Even before this year's earthquakes 2,000 aged under five died each year from the lack of sanitation. 50% of children at Government pramry schools drop out and 70% of those who go on to secondary school fail their leaving exams. We provide the means for families to build their own toilets. Our education programme provides resources to improve learning in primary schools.
Resolve International has helped over 5,000 people through our health programme which provides hygiene awareness training for families and women's groups. We also provide the means for families, women's groups and schools to construct toilet buildings.
We also install water supply to small communities.
Our education programme has supplied note books, pencils and reading books to over 7,000 primary school students.
