The organisation's objects are to alleviate the hardship and distress of children resident in Stevenage, North Hertfordshire and surrounding areas caused by the breakup of marriage and the family unit, to protect the mental, physical and emotional well-being of such children, by providing and maintaining centres and facilities where such children can enjoy meaningful contact with their non-resident parents and to encourage the adults involved to plan for their children's future in an appropriate and independent manner.
The organisation runs two Child Contact Centres located in Stevenage and Letchworth. The service provided is supported contact where children may meet with their non-resident parent or family members in a warm, friendly, safe environment. Toys, games , art materials etc are provided for the children to enjoy. Light refreshments are available. Volunteers are trained to facilitate the visits to ensure that they go well.
