The Wiltshire Museum has the best Bronze Age collections in Britain featured in award-winning displays. The collections in the Museum, together with its Library and Archive, are Designated Collections of national significance. Founded over 150 years ago, it preserves the rich archaeological and historical treasures and records of Wiltshire, including from the Stonehenge and Avebury World Heritage Site.
We inspire people to explore the archaeology, history and environment of Wiltshire through displays, exhibitions, talks, walks and conferences. We run an active education and outreach programme with schools and universities and welcome a wide range of researchers.
